INDIANAPOLIS -- Students searching for that right college are invited to bring their wish lists to "Discover IUPUI."

The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus will present the Discover IUPUI college fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis.

The seven-hour college fair will provide opportunities for prospective college students and their families to learn more about the academic programs and resources offered on the IUPUI campus.

As one of seven campuses administered by Indiana University, IUPUI is known as Indiana's premier urban research and health sciences campus. Nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report, Forbes and other notable publications, IUPUI offers more than 250 degrees from both Indiana University and Purdue University.

IUPUI is committed to the development of a diverse campus community of students, faculty and staff. African American and Hispanic students considering their college choices are encouraged to participate in Discover IUPUI.

IUPUI representatives will be on hand at the fair with games and activities to expose prospective students to their schools and the career paths they lead to. In addition to academic personnel from 19 Indiana and Purdue schools on the IUPUI campus, staff from IUPUI support offices such as the Division of Student Affairs, undergraduate admissions and financial aid will participate.

The fair schedule includes 45-minute sessions on various topics, including applying for college, paying for college and preparing for nursing school.

The first 100 people to register for the college fair will receive two tickets each to the July 17 Indiana Fever game at Bankers Life.
