IUPUI admissions, law school and University College receive MarCom awards

INDIANAPOLIS -- The IUPUI Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the Robert H. McKinney School of Law and University College won 2013 MarCom Awards in an international competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals.

The competition received more than 6,000 entries from throughout the United States and several other countries. MarCom entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. The competition has grown to one of the largest of its kind in the world.

 MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. There are two levels of awards, gold and platinum.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions received the highest award, platinum, for the second time in two years for its Senior Prospect Stream. In its submission, the office provided a representation of the stream with all emails and templates, as well as all postcards and letters and their text.

The office also received two gold awards and two honorable mentions. Admissions’ 12-page view book won a gold award in one category and an honorable mention in another. The office’s transfer admission letter/packet, which includes the letter, admitted student folder and checklists, decal and envelope, received a gold award. The office also received an honorable mention for its high school visit announcement poster.

The law school received a platinum award for its alumni magazine and dean’s report. The school’s summer 2013 alumni magazine received a gold designation, and its welcome video and Environmental Law brochure each received honorable mentions.

University College’s Transfer Student Infographic won a gold award, the March issue of the University College News Report also won a gold award, and the March issue of the Three “I” Series (Innovate, Invigorate, and Inspire) received an honorable mention.
