Campus hosting public meeting for IUPUI multi-hazard mitigation plan

  • Nov. 12, 2013

Indiana University Emergency Management and Continuity and The Polis Center at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis are partnering as part of a university-wide effort to develop a campus-wide multi-hazard mitigation plan as a part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Disaster-Resistant University initiative.

A comprehensive hazard mitigation plan is designed to reduce or eliminate various impacts from disasters such as flooding or earthquakes on university infrastructure, teaching, research and public service. The plan will be submitted to FEMA in early 2014.

To learn more or to provide input into the plan being developed for the IUPUI campus, a public information session is being held for the campus and general Indianapolis community.
