    The 12th Annual Indiana Conference on Cultural Competency takes place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the theme of “Eliminating Disparities in Mental Health.” The conference is free of charge to health care professionals, students, legislators, policy-makers or policy advocates who have an interest in cross-cultural interaction in health care.

    INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has announced plans to invest $1.15 million in the motorsports engineering program at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis to develop a partnership with Dallara to conduct basic and applied research involving dynamic vehicle simulation. The project will advance motorsports engineering techniques and motorsports-related economic development opportunities for the state of Indiana.

    INDIANAPOLIS -- The Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis has received a one-year, $200,000 grant from the NASA Aeronautics Research Institute through its program of Leading Edge Aeronautics, or LEARN. The grant funds a collaborative project by IUPUI, Purdue University, Tuskegee University and Rolls Royce Corp. that explores innovative concepts for future airplane engines.
